Invitation to the Exhibition We are celebrating the city of Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary with a special Rembrandt exhibition at our gallery. Amsterdam and Rembrandt are inseparable threads in the fabric of European cultural history. The city, thriving in the 17th century, provided fertile ground for the flourishing of the arts. Amid its bustling canals, merchant houses, and intellectual exchange, Rembrandt emerged as the city’s most emblematic artist. We will be showing over 40 original Rembrandt etchings including a unique and rare copperplate by the master artist.
