Not only do we offer a cultural variety of five centuries of important, rare and/or expensive paintings, drawings, watercolours, prints and sculpture, but for favourable prices we also aim to inspire any young collector! We do this while maintaining consistently high-quality works of art in our collection.

We can assist and advise you, whether you are looking to expand your personal collection or planning your very first art purchase! As international leaders in our profession, we have helped form important collections for numerous private collectors and museums worldwide.

To give you an idea of our collection you can browse through our website but please remember that the majority of our collection is not always on view. You are very welcome to inspect and admire the complete collection in our Amsterdam gallery at any time.

We are constantly searching for high quality paintings in excellent condition by important artists. If you own such a painting and are considering selling directly or through consignment, please send an image with your contact details to info@douwesfineart.com. All art works are purchased subject to our Terms and Conditions.

To sell via consignment means we will try to sell your artwork to a third-party buyer for you, be it to a private collection, museum, foundation etc. Your consignments are always treated with respect as well as confidentially. We can also help provide advice and assistance in selling your artwork through auction houses, providing guidance in choosing where, why and how to sell via auction. All sales terms will be discussed and decided beforehand and included in the contract.
