Herman Bogman was a student of the painter H.C.C. Bogman and the Academy of Visual
Arts in The Hague. Herman Bogman received advice from Willem de Zwart.

With a sense of color and delicacy, he specialized in painting cityscapes, later he
developed into a highly skilled watercolorist.
