signed with stamp 'Renoir' (l.r.) painted in 1919 (the year of his death). This was a part of a larger canvas of studies (see L'atelier de Renoir', 1931, Bernheim-Jeune, pl. 226, no. 715).

Notes

Renoir made this still life in the year of his death 1919. It is a part of a bigger canvas, Renoir used one canvas for different sketches on one bigger canvas and later framed them separately. It was created right there in Cagnes-sur-Mer, on the spot where now the Renoir Museum is located.
