Oleg Rumyantsev was born in 1929 in Nizhni-Novgorod. He studied until 1952 at the 1905 Art College in Moscow, and at the Talinn Art Institute until 1958.
He is active in Kaliningrad and the region of Moscow.

Goalkeeper Vladimir Alexandrovich Tretyak (1952, Moscow region) had a spectacular career. He was named the First All-Star Team Goalie in the Soviet Elite League during 14 consecutive seasons. He won thirteen league titles with CSKA Moscow and was named Soviet player of the year a record five times. Tretyak won the Gold Stick three times, given to the outstanding player in Europe. He collected over 90 medals in international competition, including three golds and one silver in the Olympics, 10 World Championships golds and 12 European Cup championship golds. In 1978 he was awarded the order of Lenin and in 1989 he received the highest honor a hockey player can get when he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. He later worked as a goalie coach in Russia and in the U.S. (Chicago Black Hawks). He is currently president of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation.
