Fernand Collomb was born in 1902 in the Rhone, France. 1918-1920, Beaux-Arts of Lyon; 1927, railway employee in French West Africa; 1931, creates the Salon de la Côte-d’Ivoire; he dies in 1981.
He was largely inspired by the 1920’s growing up. Even after his return to France he did not stop being a painter of African figures and subjects in a way that characterizes the colonial painters of the time, using very lively colours and sculptural modeling.
